Newhaven Youth - Youth Section
At Newhaven Cricket Club we pride
ourselves on our youth policy. The aim of the club is to provide
an outlet for those boys and girls in the area who wish to play
cricket.

Training takes place at
Newhaven Cricket Club
from the end of April through to the end of July.
Groups are split into various age
groups with the older children training with a mixture of hard
ball and 'incrediball' and the youngsters playing 'Kwik
Cricket'. Qualified Sussex trainers look after each group.
Above all the training sessions are
about having fun and enjoying the path to learning how to play
cricket - the sessions are open to children of all abilities.
A note from the Chairman...
We take the issue of safety extremely
seriously as a hard cricket ball can be dangerous if players are
larking around or not concentrating. I instruct Gary Dove, as
the Youth Development Officer and his team of Managers and
Coaches, to instil in the boys and girls simple safety rules.
