May 2008

31st May While the 2nd XI had a free week the 1st and 3rd XI both had a successful Saturday. Reports are now up.

28th May The weekend appears to have belonged to just one person: Bradley Hambley scored his maiden century (103no) in the 3rd XI victory over Little Common Ramblers. This has only been achieved  once before in living memory and that was by Colin Wells  in 1975.

19th May Although the poor weather and/or the football kept the 2nd's & 3rd's at home, the 1st XI went on to secure back-to-back victories with a workmanlike performance against St Peters. Thanks to the majority of the games in Division 2 being abandoned this puts them in a strong position early in the season. Report now available.

10th May the 1st, 2nd and 3rd XI were all in action and what a great start to the season with two wins out of three. Reports now available...

9th May the under 11's narrowly lost to a strong Eastbourne U11. With the last few overs played in near dark conditions the youngsters came close but ended up losing by 4 runs.

6th May the season officially starts with the Under 14's playing away to Laughton. The lads have started as they finished last season with a win by 83 runs...

All fixtures are now available - see the relevant section.

Saturday morning youth training has now started. If you would like to join in then just come along to Fort Road on Saturday mornings from 9.30am and ask for Gary Dove. If it is raining then training will not take place.
